1. The weather
According to The Weather Channel, there is a chance of scattered storms on Tuesday and Wednesday. After that, things should clear up with temperatures in the 80s throughout the week.
2. NFL football begins
The wait is over football fans. Draft your fantasy teams, pull out your jerseys—the NFL season officially begins on Wednesday. Week 1 will kick off at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants. Ravens fans will have to wait a few extra days, as their season doesn't officially kick off until Monday, when they take on Cincinnati at M&T Bank Stadium in prime time.
3. Biggest story from the weekend
According to a press release from Maryland Natural Resource Police (NRP), crews suspended the search at 8:30 p.m. Monday for a 27-year-old Philadelphia man who was sailing with others in the Six Foot Knoll area of the Chesapeake Bay north of Gibson Island. NRP officials said they will resume searching Tuesday morning.

4. Kid’s Fun Fest and 1K Fun Run
Wooden Nickel Park will sponsor a Kid’s Fun Fest and 1K Fun Run at Kinder Farm Park on Sept. 8, according to a press release. The Fun Run is set to begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by face painting, games including a frog toss and limbo log, and hay rides.
5. Friday night football
Both Chesapeake and Severna Park's football teams will be in action Friday evening. The Cougars will take on Broadneck in Pasadena at 6:30 p.m., while the Falcons will play at Old Mill High School, also at 6:30 p.m.
