9 Locals Named to 2012 All-Academic Lacrosse Team
Nine girls lacrosse players from Chesapeake and Northeast High Schools were named to the US Lacrosse 2012 All-Academic Team.
Five student-athletes from Chesapeake High School and four girls from Northeast were named to the US Lacrosse 2012 All-Academic Team.
According to their website, US Lacrosse is the national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse, primarily serving the youth game. The All-Academic team is formed on a nomination basis.
“It feels awesome,” said Chesapeake lacrosse standout Holly Lucke. “It is a really great thing to be able to put on my resume.”
Lucke is a two-time All-Academic selection. She will play lacrosse at the University of Cincinnati next year.
The other All-Academic selections for Chesapeake include:

- Abby Mack
- Kayla Miller
- Kristin Patrick
Those selected from Northeast High School include:
- Amber Andino
- Courtney Woolford
- Jaime Hutchinson
- Allison Caines
