Pasadena Man Convicted of Murdering Wife
Prosecutors seek life sentence for Stephen Salb.
Stephen Salb, 56, of Pasadena, was convicted of murder Tuesday in the death of his wife in their Jones Drive home in 2011.
Salb entered an Alford plea in the charge of first-degree murder in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, according to The Capital, the result of which is the same as a guilty plea.
Salb was arrested in July 2011 after stabbing his wife, Jill Ann Salb, 38, in an incident police said escalated from a domestic dispute.
Salb's attorney said his client had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but was on medication at the time of the incident, according to The Capital.
Sentencing for Salb is set for Nov. 8 in Circuit Court, when state prosecutors will be seeking a life sentence.
