Police said Ronald Lee McLeod, of Columbia and Daniel Alex Savage of Glen Burnie—both 18—were charged with first-degree murder in the Pasadena shooting on Saturday morning that claimed the life of 21-year-old Matthew Morrow and injured one other.
However, charges against Savage were dropped.
Police responded to a shooting in the 7000 block of Outing Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims were transported to area hospitals where police said Morrow died from injuries sustained in the shooting. The second 20-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
According to the press release, detectives identified McLeod and Savage as suspects in the murder and were able to apply for and receive arrest warrants for the two teens and subsequently charged them with first-degree murder and other related charges.

Way to go Dena. That is what a community does to bust a bad guy. People have to be willing to provide information to the authorities or the bad guys and gals will continue to run free and terrorize our communities. Way to go AACo PD, proud of your rapid work here in my backyard. People, you've got to do your part for the authorities to do theirs. Masked profanity means that you use profanity but substitute other letters, numbers or symbols in place of one or more of the letters. The example in the Patch terms is "F@&#."

I am disgusted by the racist remarks that I am seeing on multiple sites in response to the news articles about this shooting. I cannot begin to express how deeply I sympathize with the families of the victims. Darren and Matt were truly good kids, and what happened is absolutely horrifying and senseless. I am sickened by it. I am hurting for the friends and the families. I am hurting for the community. But *please* do not generalize about, and insult, an entire race based on the acts of poorly educated, poorly raised *individuals* who slipped through the cracks. These two extremely misguided young men just made the biggest and most tragic mistake of their lives, and they will most certainly pay for it. Yes, they absolutely should receive the max penalty allowable for needlessly robbing Matt of his life and for robbing his loved ones of someone they held so dear. But let's not allow the death of a beloved young man to become a forum for ignorance, hatred, and rantings about the 'inherent' evils of blacks. What century are we living in? We *must* be better than this; otherwise, we are merely perpetuating the problem.

I would like ALL parents on here to take a step back and think it COULD be your child's picture on here for murder. This does not mean these boys had bad parents or a bad up bringing. Its the society we live in and our children get sucked right into to. Instead of all the negative comments, how about you get on your knees and pray for all parents involved in this case. The devil will use anyone it can grab and especially our children! So be careful of what you say and who you judge!

The law and the Lord have the job of judgement. We need to support each other as a town and a people - black, white, brown.

Your idea of a bad parent and my idea must be way different..... I know at least one of them has parents that just don't care what they do. Look at there fb page. If you put it out there for everyone to see - then your parents can see it as well. And THEY should of stepped in a long time ago!! So yeah, bad parenting played a major issue in this. It's called "get involved" !!!! and be under your kids every step 24/7. So thank you very much. I WILL JUDGE !!!

You say don't blame the parents, It's society well it's not society that raised these ( blank) it was there parents. I grew up in the same society as these kids did and I would never shoot someone for not wanting me at there party. I was raised better then that by my parents!

This is very hard to say but within America's population there are some that cannot be trusted with freedom. We all see the country is going. 4 years ago we open are arms to show the world that we have no agenda with race. We see that nothing have changed in over 200 years. Giving the prisoner the keys to the inmates is not the answer to this nation. No one person can honestly change this country. Enough said ....... The simple fact is Pasadena is a conservative area of the state and Donna Dixon will find that out Nov. 6th PLEASE VOTE

I'm a parent of a child at NHS and have so many emotions over this... disgust, anger, sadness... I can't imagine what the Morrow family is going through. My deepest sympathies to them. As for the suspects, I for one don't care if they are green, blue, purple... they killed an innocent young man. And I too think parenting is part of the problem. Parents need to set the example... teach children respect... respect for people, property.. and LIFE! Our community needs to come together in this time of grief. These young adults need to stop with the talk of retaliation and the parents need to step in and help with stopping it. It's only going to cause more violence. These kids need to focus their energies into something positive and do something productive in Matthew's memory.

Well said Anon Community Member! I also agree with klh. This is not the devils fault for "sucking them in". It's the parents fault for not taking more action. BAD PARENTS= BAD KIDS! Nobody is going to have sympathy for these 18-year-old PUNK kids who think they are tough driving around with guns, robbing people, and now killing someone. How tough are you gonna be now when the big dogs make u drop your pants in prison? NO SYMPATHY HERE

Your WRONG about the parents. You teach your children the difference between right and wrong, and when they leave the house they do what they want. I lived in Baltimore for 25 years, and Pasadena for 22,and the kids here are just as bad as the ones there.

Like I said and will stand on it! You don't have to be a bad parent for your children to do bad acts. I'm not going into a spiritual debate on this because I can clearly see God is not in some on you. So you can continue to judge and hold malice in your hearts BUT you too will be judged and just because you or YOUR child didn't ALLEGEDLY murder someone, does not mean you are a saint.
