Police Investigating Suspicious Death
A man was found dead in his home and police said the incident does not appear to be a "random act of violence."
A Pasadena man was found dead in his home Sunday morning and police are questioning a family member in the incident, Anne Arundel County police said.
According to a news release, police responded to the 400 block of Harlem Ave. in Pasadena at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday for the report of a deceased male. When police arrived at the scene, a family member reported finding the adult male victim deceased inside the home.
The victim was later identified as Darius Keenan, 50, of the Harlem Avenue address.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause and manner of death, according to the release.
After a preliminary investigation, detectives have a family member of the victim, who is considered a person of interest, in custody at this time on an unrelated matter, according to police.
Police said the incident "does not appear to be a random act of violence" and the investigation is ongoing.
