Police: Man Robs Pasadena Businessman at Gunpoint

Police said a man was robbed on Fort Smallwood Road on Sunday evening.

Police are searching for a suspect who used a gun to rob a Pasadena man Sunday evening on Fort Smallwood Road, according to an Anne Arundel County Police news release.

The news release stated that at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a parking lot located on the 8400 block of Fort Smallwood Road for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 40-year-old male victim who said he was inside his barbershop when he saw a male subject standing by his vehicle in front of the business.

The business owner opened the door and the suspect asked for a lighter. The business owner went to his truck to get a lighter when the suspect produced a handgun and demanded money, according to police.

The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then left on foot towards the front of the business, according to police.

Several officers and a K-9 unit searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
