POLL: Who Will Win the 2012 Presidential Election?

Now that the Democratic and Republican delegates have officially chosen Obama and Romney, Patch wants to know: Which nominee do you think will win?

It's official: With President Barack Obama's acceptance speech in Charlotte Thursday night, both the Republicans and Democrats have formally chosen their nominees for the 2012 presidential election. Let the real race begin.

A lot can change between now and Nov. 6: Gaffes, scandals or even major international news events could shift the dynamics of the campaign.

The latest Gallup Polls show registered voters preferring Obama to Mitt Romney by just one percentage point: 47 percent to 46 percent. A USA Today/Gallup poll taken just before the party conventions found American voters think Obama is more likeable, but trust Romney more able to handle the economy.

Pundits have been busy for months handicapping the major-party candidates on various factors: incumbent advantage, fundraising clout, even religion.

Patch wants to know: Regardless of who you support for president, who do you think will actually claim victory in November?

Vote in our poll below, and let us know your reasoning in the comments.

Obama's speech has to be under, you have to be kidding me. He bashed the Republicans saying they don't have a plan. He's been in office for four years and he still has no clue what to do. He doesn't have a plan. Good speaker - lousy President.

If not for his stance on fraking, off-shore oil drilling, pipelines through the heartland of America and position against women's rights and Social Security I'd vote against the man that lied to us about Obamacare not being a tax. But once again I'm forced to vote against someone (in this case Mitt) than for someone. When will America have a real choice?

So you are OK with paying more for gas, not helping shovel ready jobs to get people working on the pipe lines and willing to pay more taxes that come in effect on Jan. 1st.
I don't like Mitt but Obama has proven over the last four years he can't do the job. My business has greatly suffered under the Obama - O'Malley plan. Obama just promised us the same things as he did four years ago. He has done nothing positive for the country.

Patrick, if you had read the entire package on "ObamaCare" I dont think think you would have the same opinion that you have now about it. What you we have been told about it through the media is just not accurate. You would also be aware that it is not a tax.
Just in case you are wondering ..YES I read the whole document. It was long and dry too. Can you believe there were no pictures either?

Amen Tommy James.....Obama is destroying the US. He's trying to take over the United States and RULE it. I also think O'Malley and Obama have a little something going on between them. I think O'Malley wants Obama to win so he can run in the next election and Obama will endorse him.

It's not funny but Obama had absolutely NO business experience at all when they voted him into office. Now he has proven it to them. Being President shouldn't be a training camp.

Obama has a plan. Republicans also had one. Do nothing that will help him get re elected. The politicos embraced their political loyalty over what was good for this country. In the 90's they closed down the government. This time they played games with increasing the debt bill which caused Standard and Poorer to lower our credit rating resulting in higher interest rates. A quick Internet search will find he has increased annual spending at 1.4%, which is the lowest since 1950. This contrasts with 8.4% annual spending increases of the previous office holder.

IF Obama had a plan, he would have used it by now or should have. And IF his pan was working, the election would be a no brainer. Obama has no business experience and he has proven it. I'm not crazy about Romney but Obama has lied through out his time in office and kept no promises at all. He has done nothing good to be re-elected. He's pounding us with the same promises as he did 4 years ago. I'm still waiting for results, not promises. He's all talk and doesn't want to take down his White House brewery.

Wow TJ ..you strike me as a smart individual. Can't you see that Pres. Obama had/has a plan but he has gotten NO cooperation from his peers in congress. The Pres. isnt a King. He can propose changes but it is up to congress to make the changes.

If you want to go back to a "let the big dogs role" 2 class society, elect Romney. He'll have our country right back in 1910 in no time flat.

Brian, His plan is to do the same thing he did when he came into office AGAIN. It didn't work the first time. Even his Democrats don't like it. Didn't King Obama change the immigation law, and welfare law, which is illegal, without a vote of Congress??
