Patch caught up with first-grader Tristyn Fenner during lunch at Bodkin Elementary School to ask her a few questions.

Pasadena Patch: What is your favorite thing about school?
Tristyn Fenner:
I really like specials. Music is my favorite because I like singing. My favorite song is the "Lullaby" song we sang in our musical. I also like Taylor Swift.

Pasadena Patch: What is something you learned recently in school?
Tristyn:
We just learned the R sound. We also talked about inventors.

Pasadena Patch: What do you like to do for fun?
Tristyn:
I like gymnastics. I really like the bars. I don’t do flips usually but we stand on the bars and jump to the higher bar.

Pasadena Patch: What is your favorite thing about Bodkin Elementary School?
Tristyn:
I really like my teachers because they are nice.

Pasadena Patch: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Tristyn:
I think being a teacher sounds fun. My dad is a science teacher at George Fox [Middle School]. I might go there when I grow up if he is still a teacher there.
