Radio Station Surprises Student with Bieber Tickets
Mix 106.5 showed up at Northeast High School in Pasadena on Friday morning to give a student Justin Bieber concert tickets.
Baltimore radio station Mix 106.5 asked listeners to text where they would be on Friday morning for a chance to win tickets to the upcoming Justin Bieber concert—and a lucky Pasadena student was the first winner.
On Friday just before 9 a.m., a representative from Mix 106.5 showed up at the school office at Northeast High School announcing that a student had won a contest. The radio broadcast was quickly cut to play music while the details were sorted out and morning show hosts JoJo and Reagan joked that the station's representative, Brian, was in the principal's office.
The lucky winner was a Northeast senior named Kerri who said on the air (after she received parental permission) that she was going to take her 5-year-old niece who wants to be Bieber's girlfriend.
The station gave the student two tickets to pop sensation Bieber's concert on Monday at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. For more information on the promotion, see the website for Mix 106.5.
