Autism Speaks in a nonprofit organization that raises money for individuals with autism and it will be hosting the Zumbathon Wednesday night at Pasadena Elementary School.
The Super Bowl-bound Pollard will be a guest at the event, which is something event coordinator Amy Tewell said she is really looking forward to.
“He’s great. I met him at his radio show a few months ago and mentioned my vision for the Zumbathon and he was super-excited about it,” Tewell said. “It is pretty reassuring to have someone as professional and successful as he is come support the community like this.”
The Zumbathon will get started at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at Pasadena Elementary and a $5 minimum donation to Autism Speaks is required to participate.
“It should be a lot of fun for everyone and I know [Pollard] is excited about it,” Tewell said.
