Sen. Mikulski Meets with Anne Arundel County Exec
County Executive Laura Neuman met with the senator to discuss the local impact of the sequester, jobs and working together for the people of Anne Arundel County.
The impact of the sequestration on Anne Arundel County is weighing heavily on the minds of government officials as well as residents. On Monday, Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski (D-MD) met with Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman in Annapolis.
Mikulski is the dean of the Maryland Congressional Delegation. Neuman said she is looking forward to working with Mikulski and that her “understanding of issues related to Fort Meade, NSA, the Naval Academy and Cyber Command is a crucial asset” to Anne Arundel County.
“We all need to work together as Team Maryland as we combat the devastating impacts of sequester, focus on creating jobs and remain committed to the day-to-day needs of Maryland families,” said Mikulski.
Also on Monday, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) met with businesses based in the Fort Meade area and throughout Anne Arundel County to discuss the impact of the sequestration on the local economy.

While it is great to see the new county executive working hard to help Anne Arundel County, she should also realize that Senator Barbara Mikulski only stopped by for a photo-op. The Senator is about as left-wing as they get, and has never really represented the people of Anne Arundel County. I hope that by "working together" the county executive isn't referring to progressive left-wing social justice. In my opinion Anne Arundel County has been more about equal justice and prosperity for all. And isn't Senator Mikulski up for re-election in 2014? Enough with the photo-ops.

Gotta wonder why Babs would go out of the way to come visit a Republican county executive???? I cannot think of any time in history when that has happened…even when we had Democrats in that office. Newman has close ties to the Dems….as a matter of fact it was the Democrats on the county council who voted her in. With a little help from our RINO Jerry Walker, we have a 'non-politician' who may be a registered Republican but one who has never given campaign contributions to a Republican….only Democrats.
