Rt 50 was a catastrophic accident that made national news. Thats why toxicology reports were released in a prompt and timely manor. The accident involving "Brian" is just another accident around the county and with out fb, it would of never had any news reports. If evidence of alcohol was collected at the scene, high rate of speed was found, and loosing control of your vehicle doesn't lead to drunk driving I'd be shocked. Dont hide the facts learn from them

Thank you PATCH, for not hiding the less pleasant FACTS regarding this crash. Speed and Reckless driving WERE factors in the crash, in my opinion that makes this not much of an ACCIDENT, but more of an eventuality. I feel bad for Brian's family, but I feel worse for the two teens that have to live the rest of their lives with the memory of this crash and the knowledge that they were there when someone else died. Please make sure to share the toxicology reports as soon as they are released, the only way Brian's death can serve the community now is for it to serve as a lesson we should all learn. In life Brian always told people to slow down on the roads and take it easy, now in death it seems he is still going to share that same lesson.

100+ MPH on that road? I heard this directly from a one of the police crash investigators.. (there are witnesses who he illegally passed on the road right before) Not an accident at all... Thank goodness no one else perished. I feel for the parents of the boy killed. I'm sure they are devastated. To bury your own child is something unthinkable. A hero? Or pillar of the commmunity? I think those raising him up as this should have just remained silent from the start. He should not be trashed or bashed either. He has passed... Let the police and press report the facts and let it go at that.

Re: Rt 50 accident: I wouldn't wish this sight even on gawkers but my husband who commutes at the break of dawn said the cars involved were beyond any recognition. It was a reminder to pause for him before u step into these 2 ton machines.

Yes, this like any other accident that takes a death is a tragedy. But for someone who reported daily on fb about accidents just like his own, he should of known better. Whether he was drunk or not, he was driving recklessly and to tell people to be silent is only going to upset the community, especially those on AACBN website.The community has the right to know the facts behind the accident, they are given out for every other person in America, maybe some can learn from his mistakes. Amanda- I pray that you would not go on a wild goose hunt to try to locate a police officer that may or may not of spoken about the case because someone, a complete stranger on a discussion board said so. Just to ruin his life?!?!

Toxicology results can take 4,6,8,12 weeks to be released. They sometimes release alcohol results quickly in high profile cases such as the Route 50 accident. Does anybody know Anne Arundel's specific policy?

Just curious, what's involved in getting toxiclogy results and why it should take 4 -12 weeks? I think it's some sort of a cover up involved on certain cases and there's no "high profle" about it. I can get pulled over for possibly drinking and driving and within 15 inutes they know I'm drunk and how drunk I am. Brian obviously had a lot of friends, it's sad for him and his family and what's done is done.

brian may have been a good person but he didnt do anything for the neighborhood but sit around and listen to a police scanner and make an annoying amount of fb posts

Very curious that it has not been released!

I'm sure he just dozed off while he was doing 100 + mph. Just curious as to how this would have worked out had the occupants of the other car been seriously injured.

Perhaps most interesting of all, the toxicology report has been completed, but the police are insisting that the media outlets PAY $200 to gain access, now THAT sounds like a coverup to me, and why? Because a Janitor died? I really don't think the police are helping this at all.

Where did you hear of the police wanting $200.00 to gain access? Never heard of such a thing. Why aren't our elected officials (Mr. Fink) looking into this further? Cuz it doesn't benefit him? Oh, that's right he's still busy trying to figure out how to increase the traffic congestion on Mountain Rd. More business for the "Turtle"

@John Holmes. I contacted a news paper and asked them to look into this situation since we weren't getting any response from the Patch regarding the info and you know Anne Arundel County Breaking News won't say anything about it. The paper got back to me and said that the police wanted $200 for the report, so the paper was filing a freedom of information request in order to procure the complete toxicology report. Believe me I wish I was making this up, but I am not that creative. Perhaps the Patch would like to try and get this report? Maybe if the police try to extort $200 from the Patch, the Patch could do a report on that????

If the toxicology report came back negagtive it would be posted on AACBN. It does not matter to me though. Sad to see someone pass for any reason. Before you judge give your self a big long look in the mirror- just saying noone is perfect
