Shop Local Weekend, Pasadena Business Association
When/Where: Friday through Monday at participating Pasadena businesses
Details: Special discounts will be given to those with a Shop Local key tag and they will be entered into a drawing worth over $1,000 in cash and merchandise. Sign up at Lauer's Supermarket & Bakery (both locations), Ace Hardware, Angel's Food Market, Bella Napoli Italian Restaurant and Big Vanilla Athletic Club.
Chili Cook-Off
When/Where: 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Pasadena United Methodist Church
Details: Enjoy live music from the Benfield Brass Band and delicious chili as local chefs compete for the title of "Chili Master!"
Cost: $5 kids, $10 adults
Fallfest at Eagle Cove School
When/Where: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Cove School
Details: Features include family fun, haunted classroom, eco-tours, rock climbing wall, bake sale, music, dance, face painting and food/drink.
Cost: $5
Animal Adoption Day
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Anne Arundel County Animal Control at 411 Maxwell Frye Rd,, Millersville
Details: Event will feature live music, face painting, a reptile display, and various rescue groups with adoptable pets, food and refreshments. The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s K-9 Unit will do a demonstration and there will be local spay/neuter educational information and more.
Basket Bingo
When/Where: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company Hall
Details: All baskets are filled. Admission includes 3 cards for 20 regular games.
