Animal Control Pets of the Week: Feb. 11

Here’s a look at a few pets up for adoption at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

The following was submitted to Patch from Robin Small, an administrator at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

If you are interested in adopting one of the pets listed, please visit Animal Control located at 411 Maxwell Frye Rd. in Millersville.

Riley

Riley is an approximately 3-year-old neutered male Foxhound. Shelter staff have gotten to know Riley very well over the past several months as Riley has come to the shelter five times as a stray since October 2012. Riley's owners have been notified that he has once again been brought to the shelter, however they have been unresponsive to Animal Control's attempts to contact them since January. Unfortunately, keeping Riley confined to his property, with his propensity to roam, is difficult. Riley is looking for a home where his owners will be able to successfully keep him at home and off the busy streets of Anne Arundel County. If you are interested in this friendly and outgoing hound, please come meet him at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

Susan

Susan is an approximately 3-and-a-half year old spayed female Siamese mix.  She was found in the Edgewater area in January and so far no owners have come forward looking for her. Susan has been friendly since the moment she arrived at the shelter. She is searching for either her original owners or a new forever home. If you are interested in Susan, please come meet her at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

Lola

Lola is an approximately 12-week-old female domestic short hair. She and her siblings, who have already been adopted, were found abandoned in the Odenton area in January. Lola is a little shy but very sweet. She is looking for a forever home. If you are interested in adopting Lola, please come meet her at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

Dimitri

Dimitri is an approximately 14-year-old front declawed neutered male Persian.  He and his feline companion, Savannah, were surrendered to Animal Control in January and so far neither of them has found a forever home. Dimitri is a friendly cat who would love to live out his life in a new home. If you are interested in giving this senior cat a place to live out his golden years, please come meet him at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.
