Animal Control Pets of the Week: Jan. 9

Here’s a look at a few cats up for adoption at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

The following was submitted to Patch from Robin Small, an administrator at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

If you are interested in adopting one of the pets listed, please visit Animal Control located at 411 Maxwell Frye Rd. in Millersville.

PJ is an approximately 5-year-old neutered male domestic short hair. He was adopted from the shelter and returned shortly after because he was "not adjusting to the dogs at home." Here at the shelter, PJ is an outgoing, friendly and relaxed cat. He is looking for a new home, preferably without dogs. Shelter staff are hopeful that we will once again be able to find PJ a new home and that this time it will last forever. If you are interested in PJ, please stop by Anne Arundel County Animal Control to meet him.

Freya is an approximately 10-year-old spayed female domestic short hair. She was found as a stray in December and brought to the shelter. When she arrived she was very thin but she has been getting extra food and staff thinks she is adoptable. She is a friendly, beautiful and mature cat who is looking for her forever home. Freya is a staff favorite because of how affectionate she is once you open her cage and start giving her attention. Freya still has lots of love to give. If you are considering opening your heart and your home to this senior cat please come meet her at Animal Control.

Pinkie is an approximately 2-year-old spayed female domestic short hair. This is Pinkie's second time in the shelter searching for a forever home. She is typically a little shy in new situations but once she gets comfortable she is an outgoing, affectionate and playful cat. Pinkie has beautiful markings and is used to wearing soft paws. If you are interested in offering Pinkie a new chance at a forever home please come visit her at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

Buttercup is an approximately 6-year-old spayed female domestic short hair. She has been at the shelter since December when she was surrendered by her previous owners due to an upcoming move. She is a litter trained indoor cat that has lived with a small child. She was a little shy when she first arrived at Animal Control but now she greets visitors at the front of her cage. She is a sweet and affectionate cat. If you are interested in Buttercup please come meet her at Anne Arundel County Animal Control.
