Anne Arundel County Fair
When/Where: Friday, 6 to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds at 1450 General's Highway (Route 178) in Crownsville
Why Go? It's the 60th anniversary of the fair! Features include carnival rides, cutest kid contest, petting zoo, pig races, watermelon eating contest, live music and more.
Cost: $6 for age 16 and older; $4 for ages 8-15; free for age 7 and younger (note admission includes entrance into the fair, but does not include carnival rides or games)
