TELL US: Worst Road Rage You've Seen

Patch wants to know what you've seen enraged drivers do.

There are times when it's extremely frustrating to be behind the wheel—maybe there aren't any parking spaces or traffic just isn't moving.

I know I felt that frustration recently when I was stuck in traffic trying to get to a meeting on the same day the new casino was giving away $100 in free gambling money. Route 100 (and all of the roads around Maryland Live! and Arundel Mills) were like parking lots that day at lunchtime because of the casino's promotion. I saw many other drivers hanging out their windows, laying on their horns and making vulgar gestures.

Crowded parking lots often spark controversy over who saw an open spot first. Baltimore County police arrested a woman on multiple charges after she struck two other women with her vehicle, and witnesses claim there was a fight over a parking spot at the Avenue at White Marsh on Friday night.

Anne Arundel County police charged a Baltimore man in February in connection to an alleged “road rage” stabbing on Route 3 in Gambrills, where two men exchanged words while on the road and then their vehicles collided.

Patch wants to know: What's the worst road rage you've ever seen? Tell us in the comments.

I see it every day and can't think of the "worst" incident. But just the other evening I saw two vehicles involved in such behavior. Along B&A Blvd, heading toward Marley, just past the bridge over Marley Creek two lanes merge into one. Traffic was starting to back up and of course at least one vehicle always has to ride the lane they know is ending in order to get in front of as many other cars as possible before cutting in. Well, no one wanted to let this knucklehead in a trashy looking van in. He ended up barging in to the left lane and one car had to let him in or they would have collided. Those 2 cars proceeded to honk and cuss at each other, slamming brakes and swerving at each other all the way up B&A. I don't know how it ended because I turned off. I also see that type of stuff on Rt 100 almost every day. Funny thing is that most of the people in such a hurry and driving aggressively, don't get there any sooner than those who are driving normally.

One time I was merging onto 95 from695, stuck behind a funeral procession. Behind me this middle age guy comes FLYING up, and tailgates me while throwing his hands in the air like "Why arent you going faster?". He swerves a little, throws his hands around, then he speeds around me, speeds past me in a lane that is ending, and then cuts in the middle of the funeral procession!!!!!!! I would like to just say that it takes 2 dumb people to get into a fit of road rage. If someone cuts you off then sure they are a jerk indeed. However, if you get cut off and then YOU fly off the handle and start screaming, speeding, tailgating and motioning then maybe you are a jerk as well.

I watched two cars partake in a tailgating/brake-slamming battle on the ICC recently. Dumbest thing I've seen in a while.
