You have no doubt heard of shopping for a cure, but what about shopping for a cause right here in Pasadena? Gear up shopper moms and adventure moms, because this week’s Great Escape is going to take you to a place you have probably never been before.
The community based, 501c3 organization called Partners in Care has a secret thrift store that many people do not even know about. Unlike any other thrift store experience, upon walking into the Partners in Care offices, the store is set up like a luxury boutique. It is not uncommon to see an authentic oil on canvas, or exotic furniture and jewelry right in front of your eyes.
The best time to indulge in this Great Escape is when the kids are busy at school. For those shopper moms who enjoy the finer things in life, truth be told, you may just find an exotic sable mink stole with a silk lining. Hats are abundant as are the brilliant knick knacks that resemble what is sometimes seen in a museum.
For treasure seeking adventure moms, Partners in Care can prove to be a dream come true. It is truly a place where you can shop for a cause and not feel guilty about the money that you spent. Another wonderful thing about shopping for a cause at Partners in Care is that each week a new shipment of donations come in so there will always be something new in the store. Also, there is a team of interior decorators that come in and re-arrange the store based on the donations that are received.
Shopping at Partners in Care is much like going to a grand estate sale, yet the prices are magnificent and you will not need to place a bid on any of the items up for sale.
