A 66-year-old woman walking her dog in Glen Burnie was bitten by two stray dogs that appeared to be pit bulls, police said.

The woman told police she was walking her dog on Lincoln Avenue Sunday when the two dogs attacked her dogs. While trying to keep the dogs apart, the woman sustained "a serious bite injury," according to police.

The woman was helped by a nearby resident who brought her inside.

"Both of the attacking dogs fled and were seen entering a vehicle at the end of the street after being called over by an unknown person. The vehicle then left the area," according to a police report. A description of the vehicle was not given to police.

The condition of the woman's dog was not reported by police.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-8610.

No one in this state has common sense. It's the people in this state that make their dogs aggressive and then don't accept any responsibility when something bad happens... Guarantee the dogs owner(s) don't come forward.
