Fatal Howard County Crash Involves Pasadena Driver

One person died in a crash on Robert Fulton Drive on Monday night.

One person is dead after a traffic accident on Robert Fulton Drive in Howard County that involved a driver from Pasadena, according to the Howard County Police Department.

According to the release, the driver of a 1985 Mercedes was traveling southeast on Robert Fulton Drive on Monday around 9:45 p.m. The driver was making a left turn onto Commerce Center Drive and turned in front of a 2008 Toyota 4Runner, which was traveling northwest on Robert Fulton resulting in a collision.

The Toyota was driven by 38-year-old Holli Michele Broerman of the 3400 block of Marble Arch Drive in Pasadena. Broerman was transported to in Glen Burnie and released.

The driver and only occupant of the Mercedes was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore where he later died, according to police. The identity of the Mercedes driver was being withheld until the family can be notified.

According to the release, a preliminary investigation reveals that failure to yield to the right of way on the part of the Mercedes driver is the primary cause of the collision. However, the accident is still under investigation.
