Former Police Corporal Gets Probation for Being 'Lookout'

A judge offered Rick Bobby Alexander probation before judgment, but he will serve 60 days in jail for allegedly warning drug suspects about a police raid.

Rick Bobby Alexander of Pasadena, a former Anne Arundel County police corporal who was accused by colleagues of being a “lookout” during a raid in February, was offered probation before judgment at a hearing on Tuesday.

According to online court records, Alexander received probation before judgment for misconduct and was sentenced to serve 60 days in jail.

Patch previously reported that the 37-year-old Alexander allegedly warned “approximately five” suspects by telephone of an impending drug bust in the 1300 block of Juniper Street in Shady Side on Feb. 2.

A woman reportedly told police that Alexander called her to warn that police were going to search the Shady Side home. The Baltimore Sun reported that Kristin Riggin, spokeswoman for the prosecutors' office, said the woman had a relationship with Alexander.
