Injured Man Draws Police to Site of 'Destructive Devices' in Glen Burnie

A man was treated for "injuries caused by a chemical or mechanical reaction," according to a police statement.

Anne Arundel Police are investigating an area of Glen Burnie where potential destructive devices were being made.

Authorities were drawn to the area of Edgerly Road in Glen Burnie Wednesday night when a man was treated at a nearby hospital with "injuries caused by a chemical or mechanical reaction," according to a police statement.

Since then, investigators with police and fire have collaborated to look into the possibility that destructive devices were being created in the area of Edgerly Road.

The road is being closed for an extended period during the investigation, police said.

No further information has been released from authorities.
