Medics Transport Woman After Motorcycle Accident

Fire officials said the woman crashed in the area of Route 100 east near Ritchie Highway.

A woman was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon on Route 100 east, said an Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman.

Division Chief Michael Cox said units responded at 3:48 p.m. to the area of Route 100 east near Ritchie Highway for the report of a motorcycle accident.

When they arrived they found that a motorcyclist had driven off the road and into the woods, Cox said. Medics transported a 33-year-old woman to Shock Trauma with serious, but nonlife-threatening injuries.
