annon community member... AMEN I could not have said it better. The worst day in the life of Matt's family. My prayers are with them.I can't imagine anything more devastating for a family. But, we have to be better than this. I can't believe that so many who live in the town I love are so ready to make the ignorant, hateful and racist comments that I have read here. It's embarrassing.
Pasadena Proud October 16, 2012 at 03:19 AM
There but for the grace of God go I. Nothing can make this right. Hearts are broken, A family is forever changed. Please Pasadena, don't make a bad thing worse by hating all for the actions of a few. The law and the Lord have the job of judgement. We need to support each other as a town and a people - black, white, brown.
klh October 16, 2012 at 01:06 PM
Your idea of a bad parent and my idea must be way different..... I know at least one of them has parents that just don't care what they do. Look at there fb page. If you put it out there for everyone to see - then your parents can see it as well. And THEY should of stepped in a long time ago!! So yeah, bad parenting played a major issue in this. It's called "get involved" !!!! and be under your kids every step 24/7. So thank you very much. I WILL JUDGE !!!

This is very hard to say but within America's population there are some that cannot be trusted with freedom. We all see the country is going. 4 years ago we open are arms to show the world that we have no agenda with race. We see that nothing have changed in over 200 years. Giving the prisoner the keys to the inmates is not the answer to this nation. No one person can honestly change this country. Enough said ....... The simple fact is Pasadena is a conservative area of the state and Donna Dixon will find that out Nov. 6th PLEASE VOTE

I'm a parent of a child at NHS and have so many emotions over this... disgust, anger, sadness... I can't imagine what the Morrow family is going through. My deepest sympathies to them. As for the suspects, I for one don't care if they are green, blue, purple... they killed an innocent young man. And I too think parenting is part of the problem. Parents need to set the example... teach children respect... respect for people, property.. and LIFE! Our community needs to come together in this time of grief. These young adults need to stop with the talk of retaliation and the parents need to step in and help with stopping it. It's only going to cause more violence. These kids need to focus their energies into something positive and do something productive in Matthew's memory.

Well said Anon Community Member! I also agree with klh. This is not the devils fault for "sucking them in". It's the parents fault for not taking more action. BAD PARENTS= BAD KIDS! Nobody is going to have sympathy for these 18-year-old PUNK kids who think they are tough driving around with guns, robbing people, and now killing someone. How tough are you gonna be now when the big dogs make u drop your pants in prison? NO SYMPATHY HERE

I would like to know that too. It was more than 2. As Darren said in his interview... the BACK window rolled down. So more than 2 were in that vehicle. And if someone knows who, they need to call Metro Crime Stoppers or AA County police. We need to get these people off our streets.

yeah makes sense doesnt it

Like I said and will stand on it! You don't have to be a bad parent for your children to do bad acts. I'm not going into a spiritual debate on this because I can clearly see God is not in some on you. So you can continue to judge and hold malice in your hearts BUT you too will be judged and just because you or YOUR child didn't ALLEGEDLY murder someone, does not mean you are a saint.

You say don't blame the parents, It's society well it's not society that raised these ( blank) it was there parents. I grew up in the same society as these kids did and I would never shoot someone for not wanting me at there party. I was raised better then that by my parents!

Darren is my brother and Matt was an awesome kid. I can't imagine anyone showing those criminals any kind of sympathy... slipped through the cracks?? I am pretty sure they had to slip through quite a few cracks to murder innocent people....may they rot in jail forever, but they probably wont, probably slip through the cracks again and murder someone else one day...TO THE FAMILY'S OF THE CRIMINALS: CONGRATULATIONS FOR CREATING AND SHAPING THESE PATHETIC EXCUSES FOR HUMAN BEINGS!!!
Dena Angel October 19, 2012 at 08:03 PM
just curious as to why Ronald McLeod has not been charged with anything (check Maryland Judiciary Case Search) on this yet...does anyone know the answer? He does have a charge for theft less than $100.00 dated 10/16/2012...... Daniel Savage does have a charge for murder.
Jim Goss October 20, 2012 at 09:14 PM
Your WRONG about the parents. You teach your children the difference between right and wrong, and when they leave the house they do what they want. I lived in Baltimore for 25 years, and Pasadena for 22,and the kids here are just as bad as the ones there.
Kenny McDonald October 21, 2012 at 08:39 AM
Why isn't it showing that Mcleod has been charged in this case? Savage is on case search with 1st degree murder along with 9 other charges, however mcleod does not show to be charged? whats up with that?
Kenny McDonald October 21, 2012 at 08:43 AM
"allegedly" ??? really? they were caught with the gun on person. smh if your standing up for these cowards then your just as pitiful as they are. They're punks who can't fight so they have to use a gun. They would be lucky to get life, because they are not safe in pasadena anymore. R.I.P Matt we love you. Rot in Jail Savage, Mcleod, Hamlin, and Michael.
Kenny McDonald October 21, 2012 at 08:47 AM
I know their names. Paul Michael, Dell Hamlin, Danny Savage, Ron Mcleod. I hope they all rot in jail. However if they don't. I advise them to stay OUT of Pasadena.
BK October 23, 2012 at 06:13 PM
Spelled wrong on MD Case Search... Look under McCleod for the murder charge
BK October 23, 2012 at 06:14 PM
He's under MCCLEOD, instead of Mcleod.

What is "masked profanity" I'm very serious. I don't want to offend.
Susan Jenkins (Editor) October 24, 2012 at 11:08 PM
Masked profanity means that you use profanity but substitute other letters, numbers or symbols in place of one or more of the letters. The example in the Patch terms is "F@&#."
George Thomas October 25, 2012 at 11:37 PM
Message to Paul Michael and Dell Hamlin....WATCH YOUR BACK. We know who you are. Even if you weren't involved with this, EVERYBODY knows you rob and steal from innocent defenseless people. Like that 65-year woman a few weeks ago. IF I SEE YOU, WE'RE GONNA HAVE WORDS.

Its know wonder that these thugs werent not wanted at the maybe party and I thought there were 6 punks. If the tide was turned around the other way you can believe the NAACP would be razing all HELL. What a wonderfull world double standards.
