Joan Della Lott, 52, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana on Tuesday, authorities said.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Pasadena woman on drug charges Tuesday morning, according to a police news release.

Joan Della Lott, 52, of the unit block of Luke Drive in Pasadena, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana, police said.

According to the release, police responded to the report of a dispute in the unit block of Luke Drive in Pasadena at 11:47 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, officers began investigating the initial dispute between the homeowner and the pool community representative, who arrived at the house and contacted police regarding an argument over unpaid fees.

While there, officers said they observed suspected marijuana plants growing in a wooden planter on the grounds of the home. Officers said they allegedly found a total of four plants. Lott was then arrested.

The officers also searched the home and allegedly located approximately 57 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The suspected marijuana plants recovered from outside of the residence totaled 220 inches in length and had an estimated street value of $3,300, authorities said.

Remember Ronald Reagan and limited government? How many people would seek treatment for alcoholism if it was illegal to drink? How many people would seek cigarette addiction treatment if cigarettes were illegal? If drugs were legal, would more people feel comfortable about asking their loved ones to go for treatment? If drugs were legal, if you had a legal right to control your own body and your own mind, rather than someone who never met you and who doesn't even know you, making laws about what you can do with your body and your mind, if it was your own personal choice, would you seek addiction treatment? Please take the time to debate freedom of choice. Thank you! Cris Ericson, candidate for United States Senator for Vermont http://usmjp.com
