Police said three teenagers broke into a U.S. Air Marshal's trailer in Hanover, stealing 70 boxes of ammunition on Sunday.
Brandon Michael Shreve, 18, of Linthicum, is charged with theft of between $1,000 to $10,000 and possession of burglary tools, according to online court records. Police said two others allegedly assisted in the theft—a 16-year-old from Glen Burnie, and a 15-year-old from Baltimore.
Anne Arundel County police pulled Shreve's vehicle over after seeing it strike a curb. An officer then saw 70 boxes of ammunition, a type only used by law enforcement, "in plain site" inside the vehicle. A further search uncovered bolt cutters, flashlights, auto parts and gloves.
Shreve reportedly admitted to breaking into a trailer in the 7000 block of New Ridge Road in Hanover, and a Ford Mustang parked at another location on the same road.
