A woman sustained serious injuries Wednesday following a crash on Mountain Road in the Lake Shore area.
Division Chief Keith Swindle of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said the crash happened about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Mountain Road and Maryland Avenue. Emergency crews arrived to find that a car had struck a pole.
Firefighters extricated a woman, approximately 25 years of age, from the car and took her Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Swindle said the woman's injuries were serious, but not life-threatening.
