An unidentified woman was killed in an apparent hit-and-run by a vehicle, according to police.
Anne Arundel County police responded to the Bayside Beach Road area of Pasadena at about 5 p.m. Tuesday after a woman was found in a wooded area off the roadway.
Upon arrival, authorities determined the woman was dead, and appeared to be the victim of a hit-and-run automobile collision, according to a police report. The Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene for further investigation.
Police said they believe the vehicle could be a 1982 to 1991 model year Mercedes 500 series
passenger car. The vehicle may have sustained damage to the right front turn signal
assembly and may have possible damage to the hood and right fender, according to the report.
The woman's identity was not known as of Tuesday. Police said pedestrian error may have led to the crash.
