Anne Arundel County released the following announcement.

Anne Arundel County government will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, with the following schedule:

Monday, December 24, 2012
County offices are open on schedule and trash collection will occur normally. Libraries are closed. The North County Aquatic Center is closed. Regional parks are open. Senior centers are closed.

Tuesday, December 25, 2012
All County Offices are closed on Christmas Day, including the cashier’s office, regional parks, senior centers, libraries and waste management facilities. There will be no curbside trash or recycling collection. Collections normally scheduled for Tuesday will occur on Wednesday.

Monday, December 31, 2012
County offices are open on schedule and trash collection will occur normally. Libraries close at 5 p.m. Regional parks are open. Senior centers are closed. Christmas trees will be collected on your collection day and must be at the curb by 6 a.m. Be sure to remove tree stands, ornament hangers and decorations.

Tuesday, January 1, 2013
All County Offices are closed on New Year’s Day, including the cashier’s office, regional parks, senior centers, libraries and waste management facilities. There will be no curbside trash or recycling collection. Collections normally scheduled for Tuesday will occur on Wednesday.
