Homemade Ron Paul Sign Appears in Perry Hall

A small sign reads, "Ron Paul REVOLUTION" at the corner of Silver Spring Road and Belair Road.

It's small and apparently homemade, but it's the latest example of how fever has hit Perry Hall.

Attached to a metal box at the corner of and Belair Road is a painted cardboard sign that reads, "Ron Paul REVOLUTION," with each letter in the "EVOL" portion flipped backward to spell "LOVE."

Rep. Ron Paul, who is running as a presidential candidate in the Republican primaries, is famous for his die-hard followers, grassroots campaigns and small government platform.

The Texas congressman made headlines on Tuesday by snaring nearly 23 percent of the vote in the New Hampshire primaries, coming in second behind presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, a former Massachusetts governor.

When recently asked if he could actually see himself as president of the United States, Paul responded, "Not really," ABC News reported. But the admission hasn't appeared to slow down his campaign.

Ten months away from the general election, the sign in support of Paul is one of the only election signs posted around the Perry Hall community.

If you could vote for any presidential candidate, including any candidate in the Republican primaries or President Barack Obama, who would you choose? Tell us in the comments.

And I'm going to remove this one, just like I remove any other illegal roadside sign.

Not real sure if this qualifies, but I have heard of people being arrested for removing political signs. Homemade or professionally printed, it's still a political sign.

If they're on private property, of course you're right. Any sign on public property is illegal and can be removed by anyone. It's called litter removal

This many words on this and other fluff? More hard news please.

There was one like this in the BGE boxes along Seven Courts Dr. Sadly, these boxes had just been painted the week before to remove the graffiti. I have no problem with these signs in the right place but on utility boxes, it only cheapens values and raises our costs to have it cleaned.
