O's From the Booth 5-20

O's Nats recap from Saturday 5/19. O's Win again.

Good morning O's fans.  The O's continue their masterful play on the road last night with another victory over the Nationals 6-5.   This guarantees a series victory and they go for the sweep today.

Adam Jones continued to roll last night with a another 2 run bomb and Nick Markakis hit one as well.  The O's are hitting home runs at a crazy pace.

Jason Hammel pitched 5 1/3 to ear the win.  The O's had a 6-0 lead but the Nationals scored 1 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th to cut the game to 6-4.  Ayala came out of the pen in the 6th with runners on 2nd and 3rd.  He got Maldonado to ground out and Laroche scored and the Bernadina got a 2 out single driving in Rick Ankiel.

Pedro Strop pitched a scoreless 8th.  Jason Johnson got the 1st two outs in the 9th but then Ryan Zimmerman launched a inside fastball over the right field wall to cut it to 6-5.

Johnson struck out Laroche to end the game for his 15th save and 23rd straight dating back to last year.   The O's call on 4-0 Wei-Yen Chen to take on Nats Phenom Stephen Strausburg.  This should be a great match up.  How great would it be to clean house with a sweep in DC?  Let's go O's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
