Weather Advisory for Anne Arundel Early Monday
The National Weather Service warns drivers may encounter slippery roads during the morning commute; Anne Arundel County Public Schools are on a semester break.
Much of Maryland—including Anne Arundel County—is under a winter weather advisory early Monday morning. The advisory is in effect from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties, the National Weather Service (NWS) announced Sunday. Many local students already have off on Monday and Tuesday because a semester break was previously scheduled for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Temperatures are expected to be around 30 degrees, but morning commuters may encounter freezing rain mixed with sleet and possibly snow, according to NWS.
