Volunteers to Help County Homeless on Saturday
Anne Arundel County's sixth annual Homeless Resource Day takes place Saturday at Glen Burnie High School.
The homeless in Anne Arundel County will get some help Saturday securing transportation, medical services, housing, job assistance and other access to increase their quality of life for the year ahead. This is all thanks to the volunteers, local leaders, non-profits and businesses involved in the sixth annual Homeless Resource Day, which will take place starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Glen Burnie High School. "This event has been very successful in helping people get back on their feet and off the street," said Marcia Kennai, director of the county's Department of Social Services, in a press release.
