Sturgeon Train Garden Brings Christmas Cheer
One of the largest Christmas train gardens in the area can be seen right here in Pasadena, MD
John and June Sturgeon have been sharing the magic of Christmas trains with the community in their Turf Valley Drive home for fifteen years. A stroll down their driveway reveals Christmas decorations, a light show and a railroad crossing light. But that is just the beginning. The train garden no longer fits in their house, so John had a garage built for it in 1989. Sturgeon has been an avid collector for over 40 years, and sold model trains for 15 years at M. B. Klein, a model train store in Cockeysville, MD. "That's how I accumulated a lot of my collection," said John Sturgeon. "A lot of people know I'm into the trains so they come to see what we've done." I just finished visiting with John Sturgeon today to confirm this year's Christmas Train Display and it is currently open every night from 6-9pm until December 23, 2011!!
