Police Seize Drugs, Charge Anne Arundel Man

Police search home in the 2000 block of 229th Street in Pasadena Wednesday night.

Police arrested and charged a Pasadena man on Wednesday after they said they found suspected marijuana and a small quantity of suspected heroin in his home, according to a release. George Nelson Slaughter, 23, of the 2000 block of 229th Street in Pasadena, was arrested Thursday on charges of marijuana possession, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of other drugs including heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said that on Wednesday at 7:49 p.m., narcotics officers executed a search and seizure warrant targeting drug violations at Slaughter's home. Since the state House and Senate both passed the medical marijuana bill it has sat on governor O'Malley's desk in-signed while the states of Colorado and Washington vote to legalize it outright and benefit from the tax Revenue we have to ask ourselves how many more years will patients and residents of this state suffer from outdated laws and cowardice in our government?   more ›

Police Charge 4 in Anne Arundel Drug Bust

Four people were arrested at a home in the 1400 block of Woodland Beach Road in Pasadena on Monday afternoon.

Four Pasadena residents were arrested on multiple charges Monday afternoon after police seized a pound of marijuana and other drug-related paraphernalia from their home, according to a press release from the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Police arrested Paul Edward Burke, 48; Dawn Marie Burke, 45; Summer Nicole Burke, 19; and Andrew Ryan Martin, 21. All four reportedly live in the 1400 block Woodland Beach Road in Pasadena. Members of the Eastern District’s Tactical Narcotics Team and Tactical Patrol Units executed a search and seizure warrant targeting drug violations at the home on Monday at 3:30 p.m., police said.
