No Injuries in Green Haven House Fire

A fire broke out in the basement of a home on 203rd Street around midnight on Saturday.

The owners of a house in the Green Haven community escaped uninjured after a fire broke out in their basement around midnight on Saturday. Anne Arundel County firefighters took about 15 minutes to extinguish the fire after arriving at the home in the 800 block of 203rd Street, said Lt. Keith Hamilton, a fire department spokesman. The cause of the fire and the estimated damages are still under investigation.

House Fire Causes $90,000 in Damages

Fire officials say it took 29 firefighters to battle to blaze.

A fire on Old Mill Road early Wednesday morning caused about $90,000 in damages, according to Lt. Keith Hamilton of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. Hamilton said units responded to the 8100 block of Old Mill Road at 3:08 a.m. and found a vacant, two-story, single-family home on fire. Exactly one hour after the fire began, 29 firefighters extinguished the blaze at 4:08 a.m. The house was unoccupied at the time, and according to Hamilton, there were no reported injuries. Fire on Fairwood Drive Displaces 2

It took more than 40 firefighters to battle the blaze on Monday.

Firefighters responded to Fairwood Drive Monday night for the report of a house fire. The incident occurred around 8:14 p.m. Monday in the 8300 block of Fairwood Drive, according to Lt. Keith Hamilton. Firefighters arrived to the scene to find smoke coming from the front of the building. It took more than 40 firefighters about a half-hour to get the blaze under control, Hamilton said. There were no reports of injuries, but the Red Cross was called to assist two adults who were displaced. According to Hamilton, the fire caused more than $100,000 in damage and the cause is under investigation. Odenton Patch editor Tim Lemke contributed to this report.
