Anne Arundel Police Urge Responsible Behavior on Super Bowl Sunday

In a public service announcement Sunday, Chief Larry Tolliver reminds residents to plan ahead if they intend on drinking alcohol because county police will be "out in force."

As you're making plans to watch the big game (and hopefully celebrate the outcome if the Baltimore Ravens win), county police are reminding people to make arrangements to avoid drinking and driving on Super Bowl Sunday. The Anne Arundel County Police Department released a public service announcement on Sunday afternoon urging people to celebrate responsibly. “Enjoy the festivities, have fun, root for your team, but please have a designated driver if you plan on drinking alcoholic beverages,” Chief Larry Tolliver said in the announcement. “Officers will be on high alert for drunken drivers this weekend … we’ve had too many accidents that have ended tragically because of alcohol and that’s unacceptable.” According to the announcement, police…
