County High Schools Ranked in Top 9 Percent for Providing College-Level Exams
Students in Anne Arundel County high schools are among the most tested in the state and country.
All 12 public high schools in Anne Arundel County were ranked in the top 9 percent of schools preparing students for college, in a national index by The Washington Post. Eleven of the schools ranked in the top 50 in Maryland for testing students with Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate and other college-level exams. "This index makes it crystal clear that across our county, more students are more prepared for college than they have ever been," said Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) Superintendent Kevin Maxwell, in a press release.
