LAUREL, MD - A Pasadena man died Wednesday in a Laurel car crash, police said.
Officers have not yet released the name of the 44-year-old victim. Authorities are still trying to notify the next of kin before announcing his name publicly.
Police said the single-vehicle wreck happened around 6:45 p.m. on eastbound Maryland Route 198 near Maryland Route 32.
Officers said the 2018 Mazda SUV left the roadway for unknown reasons, overturned and hit a tree.
A press release said the Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced the driver, who was the only occupant, dead on the scene.
Authorities are still investigating.
