SEVERNA PARK, MD - A Severna Park singer who competed on "The Voice" will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" at this weekend's Ravens game.

Parijita Bastola, a 2022 graduate of Severna Park High School, competed on NBC's hit singing competition last year. Coached by John Legend, Bastola advanced as far as the show's top eight in Season 22.

Bastola then came home and sang with Kique Gomez, a fellow contestant on "The Voice," at Sullivan's Cove in Severna Park last December. Another Severna Park show followed in April at Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company.

The 18-year-old Bastola has now performed around the country, from New York City to Dallas. She also sang the National Anthem at the Orioles' home opener and Gov. Wes Moore's inauguration.

The Baltimore Ravens host the Houston Texans this Sunday at 1 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium. This will be the first game of the season for both teams.

"Such an honor and pride," Bastola said on Facebook, announcing her upcoming Anthem performance. "Go Baltimore Ravens."

Fans can follow Bastola on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
