SEVERNA PARK, MD - A Severna Park couple recently won a $100,000 jackpot on a Maryland Lottery scratch-off.

“We’re going to celebrate with a dozen jumbo crabs,” the anonymous husband said in a Sept. 19 press release.

After their crab feast, the 76-year-old said he and his wife will save the rest of their winnings and continue playing.

“My wife and I play once or twice a week,” the husband said, noting that he normally buys two $10 tickets for his wife to scratch off. They also get Powerball and Mega Millions tickets when those jackpots peak.

This top prize came on a $10 Ultimate Cash scratcher bought at Harris Teeter #364, located in Severna Park at 143 Ritchie Highway.

The grocery store will also collect a $1,000 bonus from the lottery, equivalent to 1% of the winning ticket's value.

Ultimate Cash debuted in June with eight top prizes. Seven are still unclaimed. The game also still has seven $50,000 prizes, 34 $10,000 prizes and others ranging from $10 to $1,000.
