Man Shot In Pasadena, North County Man Arrested: Police
PASADENA, MD - A man was shot and hospitalized recently in Pasadena, police said.
Officers expect the 37-year-old victim to survive.
Authorities said they arrested the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Samuel Johnathon Jones of Brooklyn, Maryland.
The shooting happened last Thursday around 10:40 a.m. at a home in the 7800 block of Levy Court, police said. That's in the Freetown Village neighborhood.
Officers said the "victim was engaged in a physical encounter outside the residence, which moved indoors."
Authorities said the suspect took out a handgun during the fight, shot the victim and fled in a black Acura.
Police said the victim suffered an injury to a lower extremity.
Officers said they saw a driver and a vehicle matching the descriptions of the suspect and his car.
Authorities said they stopped the vehicle on Point Pleasant Road near E. Furnace Branch Road and identified the driver as the shooting suspect.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
